There’s no one else quite like Gwen Stefani, which means when it came time to choose a red carpet outfit for Sunday’s Grammys, only a custom Atelier Versace jumpsuit could do. And she’s not taking the stunning creation for granted, calling the sexy black one-piece “artwork.”

Doing that whole elegant rocker chick like only she can do, the No Doubt frontwoman and designer in her own right exercised her right to bare arms in the dazzling sleeveless jumpsuit, which featured a webbed pattern overlaying a half nude, half black bodice. Bringing the stunning creation to life is the work of “masters,” Stefani, 45, said on the red carpet.
“Watching them create this — they literally sewed this thing by hand and I get to wear,” Stefani said, adding that she got to be a part of the creation process when the Atelier Versace team flew out to custom fit the suit.
“It’s amazing, it’s artwork,” she raved on the red carpet, standing tall in her black stiletto heels.
Stefani let her outfit, upswept hair and long dark lashes bring the drama this time, ditching her signature red lip for a nudish shade.
Fans of Stefani’s style have more Versace to look forward to when she performs later tonight, but this time she’s trading the pants for a dress.
“I have more artwork to come for onstage and it’s Versace again,” she explained. “The dress is just off the chart.”
